Since I'll be away for a few weeks and won't get to celebrate with you in person, I wanted to bring a little piece of everyone you love together in one place. We're all so lucky to have someone as kind, thoughtful, and genuine as you in our lives. You make everyone's world a little brighter just by being you, and I feel so lucky to celebrate another year of you.

    genuinely so grateful i have a clownery partner, all-politics-discussion-er, and family goss de-briefer in one singular adult human being who also babysits me. you’re basically the epitome of an older brother except somehow you’ve never once made me feel like the younger person in the room !! genuinely love how youthful you are while simultaneously possessing the lore of someone who has seen everything.

    also very casually one of the most legendary artists many of us will ever know, but unfortunately you’re also incredibly funny, interesting, passionate, and annoyingly good at spreading positivity that your art despite being so revolutionary in your game, we all know you as an amazing friend FIRST. your ability to make people believe in themselves is actually so special and i hope you know how much that shit travels.

    i’ve loved every hangout, whether it was a whole event or just us existing and yapping about absolutely everything. also thank you for the iconic breakfast recipe which has single-handedly repaired my relationship with eggs and avocado 😍 i’m also extremely glad you take your fair share of the generational violence our younger cousins and i respect that i don’t have to be the only one bullied 🫡

    it’s so funny to think my mom used to preach about you and my brother growing up and i was genuinely intimidated by you as a child 😭 and now somehow you’re one of the first people i text about anything and everything. i hope you keep getting older and me younger so everyone is baffled when you call me your niece 😝 thank you for always being so warm, for believing in me, and for making me feel like i could actually take those steps when i needed to. i don’t think you realise how much your encouragement has meant to me, but i’m very very grateful for it.

    i hope this next year gives you an unreasonable amount of life, love, art, joy, and things to yap about. keep making your art, keep being ridiculously passionate about it, keep spreading that weirdly contagious happiness around, and keep reminding the youth that they’re capable of more than they think.
